Agent's Comments
Windy Point, as it has been known for almost 100 years, is situated where the Intracoastal Waterway flows through 250 acres of marshlands and navigable tidal creeks, intersecting the Shallotte River and containing several small islands, the two largest being 8.0 acres and 3.0 acres. These marshlands surround and accentuate the additional 3.0 acres of bulk-headed, mainland uplands that front the ICW and an additional 1.75 acres of mainland uplands fronting the marshlands. The mainland acreage is located at the dead end of a secluded peninsula covered in sprawling, centuries-old live oaks surrounded by the 250 acres of marshlands -- with no through traffic, and a 180-degree, unobstructed, mile-wide views of the Waterway, Holden Beach and the Shallotte River. The upland tracts can be subdivided, or are suitable for one- or two-acre estates. The expansive marshlands provide privacy and unmatched views, with islands suitable for private recreation or possible development.
