The small coastal community of Holden Beach is one of the fastest growing areas along the coastline of North Carolina. Well known as the largest of the South Brunswick Islands, it shares waterfront with Sunset Beach and Ocean Isle Beach and provides eight miles of beachfront. As the growth of Holden Beach continues, new shops and restaurants are being built on the mainland. USA Today has voted Holden Beach as one of the "Top 10 Beaches in the Nation" and National Geographic has named it "One of the Best Family Beaches in the Country". The area provides plenty of things to do in the area. Treasure Island offers two go-kart race tracks (one for younger children), bumper boats, a rock climbing wall, carousel, ice cream shop and arcade with pool tables and an 18-hole miniature golf course. Kids of any size will are sure to enjoy spending countless hours riding the three adult water slides and two kid's slides at the Magic Mountain Fun Park located at 3996 Holden Beach Road.

For those who enjoy fishing, the Holden Beach Pier, located at 441 Ocean Boulevard, provides excellent fishing opportunities without having to be out on a boat. The pier has a grill and snack bar, a gift shop where you can purchase local souvenirs, and a live bait shop. It's a great place to just hang out and enjoy a leisurely lunch, take in the coastal views, or take photos of what are some of the best sunsets you've ever seen.

Holden Beach offers free outdoor summer concerts every Sunday night all summer long. Come hear some of the best beach music, rock and roll, oldies, and Motown music around. Concerts start at 6:30 p.m. at the Holden Beach Pavilion under the Holden Beach Bridge and are open to the public. Bring a beach chair or blanket and your dancing shoes and get ready to dance the night away!

The beloved turtle nesting program in Holden Beach is surely its most treasured asset. This North Carolina beach is a nesting beach specifically for the Loggerhead Sea Turtle. In mid-May this protected species begins nesting on the beach at night and continues to nest thru August or September. Baby loggerhead sea turtles start hatching in July and continue into October. Watching turtle 'boilings' or hatchings is an unforgettable experience you should come an experience.
